Shane has over three years of professional experience in the field of higher education in case management, student conduct, crisis response, Clery Act compliance, and four years of experience on Behavioral Intervention Teams. Shane was awarded the University Assessment Award For Thoughtful and Transformative Assessment Practice in 2021 for assessing case management efforts during and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Serving on the University of Northern Colorado’s Behavioral Intervention Team for 2.5 years, Shane is a case manager who directly meets one-on-one with students, manages a personal caseload, and regularly consults with mental health providers and campus partners to enact BIT functions.
