Erin Halligan-Avery, Ph.D.

If you’d like to know more about Dr. Erin Halligan-Avery, check out her LinkedIn page here. Her best friends have hijacked this bio to tell you about the real Erin. The Erin we know and love! Erin is the mom of a 9-year old, an educator, podcaster, and serial organizer. She embraces her title as a HSP (highly sensitive person) and uses her empathy, every day, to try and change the world. You can go to Erin on your absolute worst days and will walk away feeling heard, understood, and lighter. She’s direct, curious, and unconditional, but will not hesitate to identify and fight against all things unfair. Erin owns a business called, ConcernCenter, a software tool she developed when she was a case manager in Higher Ed, Student Affairs. When ConcernCenter got “too big”, Erin was faced with an unwieldy question, “Leave Higher Ed or always wonder, ‘What if’?” In 2022 she resigned. Today, ConcernCenter has helped over 3.5 million people find the support they need and continues to grow everyday. Erin’s stubbornness (strike that) resilience is what keeps her moving forward, even on days of defeat. If you’re reading this bio it means you’re in for a treat. She’s probably getting ready to talk to you about something that will forever change your point of view. Because that’s who Erin is. She’s on a mission to change the world and, to be honest, we’re confident she’s going to succeed. So enjoy her, befriend her, ask her questions, and take comfort in knowing that you are in a room with someone who believes in you, even when you have trouble believing in yourself.
