Darlene Schmitt is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been in the role of Associate Director of the Counseling Center at SUNY Brockport since 2003 and has over 30 years of experience working in the field of mental health counseling. Darlene is actively involved on campus, providing outreach and consultation as well as serving on several university-wide committees including the Employee Assistance Program and the Student Behavioral Consultant Team. She is and holds a certification in “The Anti-Racist, Culturally Competent Treatment for Black Families” and “The Inclusive and Ethical Leadership Certificate, issued by USF Office of Corporate Training and Professional Education”. This is the third NaBITA session she has co-facilitated with her colleagues, and has also presented at other national conferences on the topic of college student mental health.
