Dr. Colleen Sonnentag is currently the Dean of Student Development at the University of Northern Colorado. With over 15 years of experience in student conduct, case management, crisis response, residence life, and Title IX/civil rights investigations in higher education, she has served as Chair of UNC’s CARE (Concern and Respond Effectively) Team since 2020. Dr. Sonnentag served as an invited practitioner panelist on college student mental health and campus response for the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA) 2024 General Counsel Institute. In 2020, she was recognized by the Association of Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) as their Dissertation of the Year Award recipient for her doctoral research on sexual assault adjudication in higher education.
