DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING

To register a campus pair or group at Member Rates, the anticipated attendees must have an active Standard or Enhanced NaBITA Membership or each registrant must be an active Individual Member of NaBITA. All registrations for 2018 trainings include access to regularly updated electronic training materials, including the full deck of training slides.
Attendee contact information is not required at time of registration; NaBITA will reach out 7-10 days prior to the training to collect each attendee’s name, professional title, institutional affiliation, email address, and phone number. Access to materials is delivered via email to each attendee 5 days prior to the training.
To obtain a NaBITA Certificate, you will need to attend the whole event. What does this certificate mean? It means that you have tapped into the unparalleled expertise of NaBITA and the other carefully selected experts in the field.
Once the course is completed, you will receive your certification from NaBITA. Certificates for this training event will be provided to you electronically via our Continuing Certification Credit (CCC) program. A member of our team will be in contact with you via email with instructions on accepting your certification credits in the 7-10 business days following the completion of this course. Now you can stay up-to-date! We are excited to announce our online professional development platform called the Continuing Certification Credit (CCC) program. Our CCC program allows clients of The NCHERM Group, including those certified by NaBITA, to track, maintain and extend their professional development through our programs.
PLEASE NOTE: Certification refers to attendance at a qualifying event; The NCHERM Group cannot speak to individual attendees’ knowledge, expertise, or command of the material.
All registrations for 2018 trainings include complimentary three-month Individual Trial Memberships for attendees who have no previous membership history with NaBITA. Active trial members have access to the full benefits of the corresponding membership level.
Complimentary and free trial memberships are not transferable unless the corresponding event registration is/was transferred as well.
Complimentary trial memberships that come with hotel or campus-based event registrations have no monetary value and cannot be applied towards a membership upgrade.
NaBITA will send trial members an email with instructions to activate their trial membership account. Trial membership expiration dates are three months from the date NaBITA sends the initial membership redemption email, regardless of when the membership is redeemed and activated.
Active trial members have access to the full benefits of the corresponding membership level.
Brian Van Brunt, Ed.D. the Executive Director of NaBITA and Senior Executive Vice President for Professional Development Programs at the The NCHERM Group, LLC. He is a past-president of the American College Counseling Association (ACCA) as well as NaBITA. Brian has taught counseling theory, ethics, program evaluation, statistics and sociology topics at both public and private schools for both graduate and undergraduate students at five college and universities. Brian has served as the director of counseling and New England College and Western Kentucky University. He is the author of several books including Ending Campus Violence: New Approaches in Prevention and A Faculty Guide to Addressing Disruptive and Dangerous Behavior in the Classroom. Brian is an expert on campus violence and has been interviewed by the New York Times, National Public Radio, LA Times, USA Today and has appeared on Headline News and Anderson Cooper 360.
Both days of training will run 9:00AM-5:00PM. Registration will begin at 8:30AM.

Your host will provide a light continental breakfast and afternoon snack break each day. Lunch each day will be on your own. There are many local restaurants within walking distance.
Attire is business casual with an emphasis on casual. Room temperatures may vary; layers are encouraged.
If you wish to use a laptop to take notes, please have your computer fully charged and consider bringing a back-up battery, as there are not enough outlets in the room for individual use. Staff will not be available on-site to provide any electrical cords or technological assistance.
