Membership Scholarship Application Process
- Scholarship Application Timeline
- Quarter One: Apply between January 5th – March 31st
- Quarter Two: Apply between April 1st – June 30th
- Quarter Three: Apply between July 1st – September 30th
- Quarter Four: Apply between October 1st – December 20th
- Eligibility Criteria
- Financial need within the BIT/CARE field.
- Current members seeking scholarship upon renewal should apply no earlier than 90 days before expiration.
- Non-members are eligible to apply.
- Purchase of membership during the application process voids eligibility.
- Selection Process
- Special consideration will be given to applicants who are transitioning to careers within BIT or related fields from an underserved institution or K-12 school/district, or are not currently supported by an institution.
- Applications are reviewed by NABITA staff in the quarter they are received.
- Applicants will be notified of scholarship status via email within two weeks after the last day of the quarter.
- Applicants not selected may apply the following cycle.
NABITA Membership Scholarship Terms and Conditions
- Only NABITA Individual Membership will be awarded to scholarship recipients.
- Submission of application does not guarantee that a scholarship will be awarded.
- If you are a current NABITA member and are selected, your membership will be automatically renewed, and you will receive 365 days of membership once your current membership expires.
- Scholarship winners may not share the scholarship with anyone else, with their institution, or transfer the scholarship to another person.

Scholarship winners who transfer to another institution anytime during the membership year may continue to use the individual membership until the expiration date. Please email members@nabita.org to have the membership transferred
- Each applicant is eligible to receive a scholarship on a one-time basis.
- Those who applied and were accepted for a scholarship for an NABITA In-Person or Virtual Training are not eligible to also receive a Membership Scholarship within the same year. Please visit this link to apply for a Training Scholarship.
- Scholarship recipients are responsible for determining the tax implications of all scholarships received. Please consult a tax professional if you have questions.
