K-12 Structured Interview for Violence Risk Assessment (SIVRA-35)

Wednesday-Thursday, July 31-August 1, 2024 | 10am-5pm ET

This two-day certification course provides in-depth training on using the Structured Interview for Violence Risk Assessment (SIVRA-35) tool in K-12 settings. The SIVRA-35 is a 35-item inventory designed to assist behavioral intervention, threat assessment, and CARE team members in conducting a more thorough, research-based violence risk assessment. The SIVRA-35 is intended to assess the risk and protective factors related to an individual’s willingness to engage in violence.

Participants will learn how to conduct an effective interview and gather information to score an individual’s risk of harm to others using the SIVRA-35. Additionally, participants will practice applying the SIVRA-35 to demonstration videos of violence risk assessment interviews. Learn more.

After completing this training, participants will be able to…

  • Administer the SIVRA-35 tool in an interview through narrative, structured questions with individuals exhibiting a range of concerning behaviors
