Mark Follman

Mark Follman is a nationally acclaimed investigative journalist and the author of the highly regarded book, “Trigger Points: Inside the Mission to Stop Mass Shootings in America.” His groundbreaking work includes creating an online database of mass shootings in 2012 and conducting in-depth investigations into gun violence and its societal repercussions, earning him numerous awards. Mark has been featured on NPR’s “Fresh Air,” PBS NewsHour, and in publications such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Mother Jones—where he serves as a correspondent and editor. He frequently speaks at threat assessment trainings and violence prevention conferences, often focusing on educational safety. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and two children.
