Parents often get a bad rap on college campuses. They helicopter about, butting into their child’s life in ways that keep him or her from fully leaving the nest and acclimating to the college environment. There is no shortage of parent horror stories, from the mother who drives up each weekend to do her son’s laundry in the dormitory basement to the father who calls and threatens a professor because of a bad grade his daughter received on a term paper.

Hosting a NaBITA Training Event

 

If your campus is interested in learning more about hosting a NaBITA training event or need information on additional training opportunities from our organization, please email Alisha DiGiandomenico, Assistant Vice President for Client Relations, or call at (610) 644-3387.

 

Should your campus/school/organization look to host an on-campus, public training event, NaBITA is currently collecting Request for Proposals for campus host sites for the Summer and Fall months of the 2015 calendar year and the full 2016 calendar year.

The Journal of Campus Behavioral Intervention

J-BIT

The National Behavioral Intervention Team Association has launched its flagship, peer-reviewed academic journal, The Journal of Campus Behavioral Intervention (J-BIT). J-BIT is a multi-disciplinary journal intended to encourage academic research and scholarship regarding the function, design, operation, and assessment of campus Behavioral Intervention Teams (BITs) at two- and four-year colleges and universities.
