Marketing Your Campus BIT, Part 1

With Behavioral Intervention Teams transitioning into their second generation, one of the best practices of the "2nd Gen" BITs is raising awareness of the team and how it operates through an effective marketing plan. People are afraid or suspicious of what they don't understand. BITs can't expect anyone to use or trust a service they know nothing about!

The Journal of Campus Behavioral Intervention
The National Behavioral Intervention Team Association has launched its flagship, peer-reviewed academic journal, The Journal of Campus Behavioral Intervention (J-BIT). J-BIT is a multi-disciplinary journal intended to encourage academic research and scholarship regarding the function, design, operation, and assessment of campus Behavioral Intervention Teams (BITs) at two- and four-year colleges and universities.

Exploring the Impact of Suicide Prevention Research in Multiple Settings

The first webinar in the Injury Control Research Center for Suicide Prevention's (ICRC-S) 2015 series will feature Eric Caine, ICRC-S director and chair of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester, and Jane Pearson, chair of the Suicide Research Consortium, National Institute of Mental Health. Dr. Caine and Dr. Pearson will give an overview of the impact of research on national goals for suicide prevention. Jerry Reed, ICRC-S co-director and director of the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, will moderate.
